Youniss is a Belgian producer, musician and visual artist who’s music isn’t just an exploration of sound, but a means to unearth explanations for the ways of the surrounding world. Youniss’ sound is a collage of noise, electronics, and samples, that are intertwined with his post-punk and hip-hop-inspired poetry. Together, these elements reflect his experience as a Black man navigating life in a country with a brutal colonial history. His work critiques 21st-century global culture, exposing its deep-rooted foundation in anti-Blackness.
